About
Following an early career as an officer in the Parachute Regiment I traded military recce for recce with a camera in the late 90s. Since then I’ve been scouting and managing locations in London, across the UK and worldwide for the last 25 years.
This depth of experience means I have an outstanding knowledge of our capital city but also cities across the country as well as the mountains, lakes, glens and coastline that we are lucky enough to call our workplace.
Interests and personal experience in a diverse range of fields from historical conservation, sailing, small hold farming, dry stone walling and sports and dogs together with a large splash of empathy help me quickly build the relationships with location owners that are an essential ingredient of a successful shoot. This is also reflected in an excellent relationship with Film Officers and other key stakeholders resulting in trust and respect established over many years leading to the best outcomes for production teams.
As an independent location manager I am extremely task focused and whatever the scale of the project work hard to get the best results, at the best value, as efficiently as possible. Where necessary I can call on a small team of similarly skilled and experienced colleagues to help deliver your film.
